A'S TURN ICY AFTER HOT STREAK

OAKLAND -- After winning 9 of 10 games throughout late May, the A's have turned ice cold, dropping 5 of their last 6.  The Mariners finished a series sweep yesterday.  Anaheim, who had been slumping, has picked it up.  Oakland now trails the division-leading Angels by 8.

The Athletics begin inter-league schedule with a game tonight at home against the Houston Astros (23-35).  They'll finish their nine-game homestand in the next series vs. Milwaukee Brewers (27-32).  Oakland needs to perform strong in inter-league.
