| Wells playing cookie monster |
OAKLAND -- It was a game they should of easily won, but they fucking blew it because dickhead Tim Hudson let Vernon Wells go yard on him late in the game. The A's touched Blue Jays' laughingstock Luke Prokopec for two runs (should've been more), but big Verny Wells hit a shocking two-run shot that propelled a 3-run Blue Jay 7th inning.
"This was one of those games where I was sure we had in the bag. The Blue Jays are the shittiest hitting team in the majors yet they walked in and laughed at Tim Hudson," said Maty McNeil. "That just pisses me the fuck off. We gotta beat easy teams like this. This was a late inning robbery. Have fun with Zito tomorrow, Jays. Tim Hudson balking in a run? This ain't little league. Step the fuck up."
The series resumes tomorrow. God damn it.
| Around the League: • Rodrigo Lopez shines again. The Baltimore ace picked up his 4th win of the year in an 8-0 shutout rout against the Devil Rays. Lopez's ERA now stands at a league-best 0.66. • Barry Bonds has taken over the home run lead from Magglio OrdoƱez. The steroid nut has now clubbed 17 bombs in less than a month and a half of play. • Slick-handed Omar Vizquel is the AL's best defensive shortstop, statistically. Miguel Tejada trails him by a few X-play percentage points. • The sub-par Chicago Cubs continue to shock. They now hold a 22-12 record and lead the NL Central. • Sammy Sosa leads the NL with 40 RBI. The Dominican hero posted a three-game home run streak from 4/20 - 4/23 |
