OAKLAND -- Billy Koch blew his 2nd save of the season in a game that Oakland had in the bag, and for the third time in a week, the A's gave one away.
"This is incredibly frustrating. We can't help but give away free wins to our opponent. This is a disaster. The bullpen has failed us. And it's getting to the point now where I'm scared to call for relief. Billy Koch's closer role is up in the air at this time. He has simply failed, period. In his six appearances he's thrown nothing but batting practice. I can't stand these losses anymore. We have lost every one run game and that will kill you in the aggregate," said Maty McNeil
Eric Chavez had a huge home run to push the game to extras. But once again, the A's bullpen imploded, allowing a Carlos Guillen home run to bury it.
"Sickening and just beside myself right now," said McNeil.
